About Me

Hello World! My name is Dora and I am a Licensed Tour Guide at the Acropolis of Athens.

History and Archeology has always been one of my biggest passions. Ever since I was young I also loved the art of photography so I tried taking pictures in order to capture small parts of my own history. To this day, one of my muses is my beautiful city, the city of Athens. There are indeed a million things you can see and experience in Athens and I can only hope that you will trust me and pick me as your guide to help you explore Athens’ most fascinating features.

Dora was very knowledgeable and articulate young woman. She shared a great deal of information about the sites we visited and we were lucky to have her. It was well worth the extra cost to have her along. During our visit we spent a great deal of time at the Acropolis. We stopped at various points along the way up where Dora shared information about things that really, we would have zoomed by. In fact, I’m fairly certain had we been on our own we would have missed a significant amount of fascinating points.

We had the pleasure of having Dora guide myself, my husband and our three children ( all under 12 ) around the Acropolis. Though our booking as at every short notice ( the night before) she kindly met us at the entrance at 8am the next day. Her knowledge of the area is extensive, her manner friendly and helpful and she really made an effort to ensure the children were engaged and enjoying the experience. Her English is excellent and she also takes great photos! I would highly recommend Dora as your guide not only for the Acropolis but for the areas beyond as well.

It was probably the most enjoyable tour I had ever had the pleasure of. Having travelled widely I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed and learned so much on any previous tour. Dora was so full of knowledge, we were very impressed! My teenage children and myself learned so much of the culture and history thanks to our wonderful guide.
